Cuban outfielder Yasiel Puig made a post in official Instagram account in which he shows solidarity and support for people who are battling cancer. In the video, “Caballo Loco” (Wild Horse) makes special reference to a great friend of his who suffers this terrible disease. Besides, he addressed other friends who have communicated with him.
Yasiel is aware of the suffering this illness can bring to the patients and their relatives. That is why he sent them a positive message to all of them, encouraging them to have a lot of faith and confidence in God Almighty.
Puig made a call to fundraise and help all the families involved in that difficult situation. The donation to the Foundation @wildhorsefdn is going to be made. As a matter of fact, the player, who currently plays in the KBO, shaved his head as support for the patients, who lose their hair due to chemotherapy.
It is not the first time Puig shows his support to people suffering from this disease. In 2019 he visited centers with cancer patients, mainly pediatric hospitals. The Cienfuegos-born player might be extroverted and controversial on the field, but he has shown great sensibility and genuine feelings. There is no doubt his actions bring pride to all Cubans… and more.
